Caroline Wilhelmine Dickfos was born 4 March 1854 in the Baden Wuerttemberg district of Germany and she married Gottfreid Friederich Schneider in Queensland on 18 July 1871.
Gottfreid Friederich Schneider was born 19 January 1841 in Germany and arrived with his parents on "The Sophie"in 1865, He was the son of Johann Georg Schneider and Hiendricke Margarethe Lauer. The family lived in the Ellhofen area of Germany.
His younger sister Henricke married Caroline's brother Johann Friedrich August Dickfos.

I am named after Dorothy May Schneider. Shirley Dorothy Dunlop. Our family was slways close to the Nieblings especially Jean who married a Curry (ie)? She was Edna's cousin. So lovely to read about the GGGs and hear the old names again.
